hetalia is my biggest and largest hyperfixation right now and it is eating me ALIVE!!! hetalia genuinely makes me so happy and is the reason i still alive. i know it sounds stupid to some people, but this anime really brightens my day.
i started getting into hetalia in october, finally parting ways with tally hall. it was my birthday soon and i was bored out of my mind. i was scrolling through tiktok and all of a sudden i kept getting hetalia vids on my feed. i had watched it before in 2018 but i barely remembered anything. then, i decided i wanted to give it another try. and im glad i did.
after watching the first season, i instantly started consuming fan media. my first ship---other than gerita, of course---was sufin. they were my otp even before they showed an appearance in the anime.
when i first got into hetalia, i was a russia yume. i didnt really draw my ship a lot (i still dont). to be honest, i only liked russia a normal amount, but i wanted to seem cool and have a character to be obsessed with!
but then, when i finished the entire show + the movies (i havent watched the musical(s) yet), switzerland became my favorite. it was honestly a decision between hong kong and switzerland, but i liked switzy more. i'm so obsessed with switzerland i swear im his number one fan... once i get money he will have a whole SHRINE in nmy closet... just you wait...
